To completely and efficiently burn out dirty or toxic waste materials,
a spiralling vortex air-flow is set up within a small cylindrical chamber
by means of tangential air injection. The fuel streams are sprayed into
the combustor, to burn off in the highly turbulent air streams. Aspects
of this technology include:
- Very efficient combustion conditions enabling difficult wastes to
be burnt off with minimal emissions.
- Small, compact units.
- The system aerodynamics keep unburnt fuel and waste materials within
a central annulus, thus avoiding wear on chamber walls.
