    • Adriano Greco has been appointed as Group CEO and will take up the position from June 1 2021.

After leading FCT as Group CEO since 1998, Con Manias is stepping back from the role but will still retain the position of Executive Chairman. Adriano Greco has been announced as Group CEO commencing June 1, 2021. FCT Group is a world leader in providing complete pyro-processing and end-to-end analytical solutions across the cement, mining, and mineral processing industries through its subsidiaries FCT-Combustion and FCT-ACTech. A third subsidiary, FCT-Flames, is best known for engineering spectacular flame effects for high profile events including the Olympic Games.

During the past 20 years, FCT has been successful in achieving significant international growth and now offers local customer service, sales, engineering, project management and commissioning support to clients in key regions. From one office in Adelaide, South Australia, the company has grown to have additional operating business units in Austria, Brazil, Germany, and the USA, as well as sales representatives and agents located worldwide.

This growth is expected to continue, and FCT enjoys market leadership in a number of sectors.  FCT-Flames is the pre-eminent provider of flame effects to the major sporting events of the world, and has produced “the most watched man-made flames in history” with billions of people having seen the company’s work on display at Olympic Games events. In the industrial sector, FCT-Combustion is the leading supplier of burners to iron ore plant projects worldwide and has delivered more than 700 complete burner systems for iron ore pelletizing kilns since 2014 including current projects.

Adriano Greco, who is based in Florida, has been CEO of FCT-Combustion’s American business unit since 2015 and has also implemented the Brazilian subsidiary. Greco brings over 20 years of extensive pyro-processing industry experience from management roles across the USA, Brazil, China, Austria and Spain having previously held positions such as President of Greco Combustion Systems and Director of Gebr. Pfeiffer, Inc.

    Con Manias’ comments:

“I am delighted to advise that Adriano Greco has accepted our offer to succeed me as the Chief Executive Officer of the FCT Group, starting June 1, 2021. Adriano has fitted into FCT seamlessly and demonstrated his abilities in transforming our American business unit into the largest and the most profitable for FCT-Combustion. Adriano is committed to providing the excellent customer support that our business strives to achieve, and to continue the growth and development of the FCT Group.

I congratulate Adriano in his successes to date and look forward to the future of FCT under Adriano’s leadership.”

FCT’s mission is to increase customer value through the delivery of innovative and environmentally sound solutions to increase process quality, reduce operating costs and emissions, and improve sustainability.

To this end, FCT has increasingly invested in extensive R&D with a focus on achieving high levels of alternative fuel substitution, combustion of ‘new’ fuels such as hydrogen, continued commitment to NOx reduction, and development of green technologies in general.

    Adriano Greco’s comments:

“I appreciate the trust Con and the Board have shown in me, and I look forward to taking on this new leadership role. I thank Con for all his work in bringing the company to this point and I am excited to continue expanding on his good work into the future, together with the support of the FCT family.

When invited I was immediately very interested in being FCT Group CEO in order to support it’s continued growth, as we have been developing a company focused on understanding customer needs and understanding the needs of the market, product and environment. FCT is well-positioned to achieve great success in the coming years, with an expanding range of innovative and environmentally sound technologies such as Low NOx Burners and Hot Gas Generators for Alternative Fuels, Liquid Fuels, Solid Fuels, Gaseous Fuels and Special Fuels such as Oxygen, Nitrogen, COG, BCG as well as FCT Calcined Clay Plants, to name a few.

We have the opportunity to focus on thought and product leadership and serving the needs of customers. We are articulating our new products road map that shows a converged focus on advanced pyro-processing technologies respecting the environment and offering the best available service the industry can find. We feel we are on track to meet the revenue plan established a couple of years ago. Over recent years, FCT has secured multi-million orders within new industries, new customers, and new technologies, supplying over one thousand new burning systems. Customers seem happy with what we’re doing. Customer support has been exceeding expectations as part of our road map.”
