FCT International has been named Export Business of the Year at the prestigious Optus My Business Awards held in Sydney on Friday evening.
The event recognises Australian businesses across 28 categories, acknowledging a commitment to best practice in the given sector. Customer service, achievements in innovation, corporate social responsibility and workplace culture also form part of the judging criteria for the awards.
The win highlighted FCT International’s reputation for providing clients with high quality, innovative products in globally competitive industries through its three subsidiaries: FCT Combustion, FCT Flames and FCT ACTech.
Across the business, more than 95% of revenue is derived from export. The company’s headquarters located in South Australia are backed by international offices in the USA, Austria, Turkey and Brazil.
Of particular note, the past year has seen FCT Combustion become the world leading supplier of burners to the international iron ore pelletizing market, securing key contracts with companies such as Vale in Brazil and SinoSteel in China.
FCT International Managing Director, Con Manias, said it was an honour to win the award.
“Winning the title of Export Business of the Year is a great honour and we are pleased to accept the award, especially from such a deserving group of finalists,” he said.
“At FCT, we have a strong team of professionals across the world who strive to provide our clients with the best products, service and solutions available. This award acknowledges the success of these efforts and our forecasted growth for the future.”
This award follows Business SA’s South Australian Export Business of the Year Award in October, in the category of Mining, Energy and Related Services, which recognised FCT International’s achievements on the world business stage.
